What we value
- earth-reverent production of food, energy and shelter, utilizing many of the principles of organic, sustainable, bio-dynamic, permaculture, and bio-regionalism practices
- simple, minimalist and non-materialistic lifestyles. We want to minimalize the power (electricity, fuel) that we use, the need for "stuff," feelings of "need," and the impact we have on the environment.
- anarchistic ideals such as mutual aid, recognizing the authority of our own inner being, and creating economic and social justice where all are empowered and have access to the abundance of the earth
- relationships based on respect, compassion, humour and openness
- spiritual, political and interpersonal practices which, upon the ground of our shared values, are non-dogmatic and honour the uniqueness and diversity of each person
- ideas and activities that inspire us to realize the sacredness of all living things and the unity of all creation: rituals, gardening, awareness in every moment, beauty, quietness, the practice of compassion, the spirit of laughter, singing, dancing, making music and playfulness
